What our customer's say!
"Decent for the Price", These needles are not Clover quality, but that was to be expected. Nevertheless, they are decent wooden needles, have a nice feel, and get the job done. The smaller needles do seem very fragile, but I have not used them yet. If you are looking for high quality wooden needles, these are not for you. But if you are looking for a set with a range of sizes and have no preference as to quality, these will be just fine. Happy Knitting!
"Ugh. Not fun to knit with these needles", I bought this set hoping to save time and money not having to buy pairs of needles individually. All of the needles are too "sticky" - difficult to get the yarn to slide off the needle. That might be helpful for some, but I would think it frustrating to anyone other than novices. I started getting a blister on my finger from trying to slide stitches off the needle. I'd recommend saving for a better set of needles such as the Clover bamboo needles. They are much easier to work with, yet not as slick as metal needles. The Clover set on Amazon doesn't have all the small sizes like this set, but the small sizes in this set (1-5) are so flimsy they aren't worth it.
"Unbeatable Value!", I LOVE these needles. I can definitely tell the difference between these needles and some of my more expensive needles, but the differences are quite minor. While other brands may feel wonderful as they articulate, these still feel "good". They get the job done, and best of all - they are so cheap! Since purchasing this set, I haven't had to buy any additional straight needles. Us knitters know how expensive needles can get when buying them a pair at a time.
As with all wooden needles, they will bend or bow if you use them for awhile with warm and/or moist hands. They will easily bend back into place if bending gently while they are warm and at least a touch moist.
I'd say these are 4-star needles, but the value definitely bumps it up to 5-stars! I'll also add that I've only had the BEST experiences purchasing through Oriental Touch via Amazon. And, I love seeing that they comment to reviewers that have had problems with their products - often offering a replacement/refund.
"Good bargain", Excellent quality, especially for the price. I've used several of the pairs in the set and find them strong and comfortable to handle
"Excellent for beginners", I bought these for my wife as a Christmas present. She just learned to knit and really enjoys these needles. The variety of sizes seem to be enough for a beginner and the price was very reasonable. Only issue so far; needles have to warp during use due to natural pressure placed on them by your hand while knitting. Possibly due to the fact that bamboo is a soft wood. Either way, this is a good intro product as far as I can tell.

"Excellent for the price!", I was so excited to find these needles on Amazon. I just began knitting and had my mom's old metal needles but I kept dropping stitches and was really struggling. I kept going to craft stores with my 40%-50% off coupons but they never sold bamboo needles in a set and I could never decide which size to buy (I am new to this and had no idea what was the most common size that was used)so I never bought any.
I started using these the day I got them. I love them. The only reason I give them 4 out of 5 stars is because the end keeps catching on my yarn as I'm knitting and because one of my size 7 needles is bent. I was a little bummed when I noticed that. I haven't checked the other needles. I hope they're not bent like the one's I'm using are.
But again, they're still excellent for the price. I would highly recommend this for any beginner trying to build up their collection. Even with the bent one, I still love them.
"Good quality for a bargain price", It looked too good to be true: an entire collection of straight knitting needles for the same price that just a few pairs would cost at the craft store. With some skepticism, I decided to try out these needles. So far, I've been pleased with them. They aren't quite up to the silky smoothness of Takumi Clover bamboo needles, but a little beeswax and rubbing should bring these nearly up to par. These bargain needles are smooth enough that they don't catch on the yarn, and are just the thing for working with slippery fibers such as rayon or "soy silk."
"Fantastic Product - Very Good Value", I purchased these bamboo knitting needles for my mom's birthday. She has been knitting for a year or so and I had heard her mention before that she read that bamboo needles were much better to use for knitting rather than metal needles. So I found this product and gave them to her a few months ago when her birthday came around.
She loves them and and has said many times how much easier it is using this type versus the metals ones she used to use.
The shipping was very timely and the quality of the needles are excellent. I will definitely keep this company on my favorites so that I can purchase from them in the future.
"Great Buy", Good needles, hold the work nicely. No dropped stitches like slick aluminum needles. Economical kit with every size at hand.
"what a bargain", I bought these for my daughter for her birthday. She is away at college, so I haven't actually used them myself. But what a great deal! They seem like really good needles, and the price was super cheap.
